June 2026 Au-rene theater - broward ctr for the perf arts Events Guide: Fort lauderdale Concerts, Shows and Games
Looking for a killer way to kick off summer? The Au-Rene Theater at Broward Center for the Performing Arts in June is where you wanna be. This place has so much history, from hosting legendary acts to showcasing local talents that make Fort Lauderdale proud. Remember that jaw-dropping dance performance by the renowned choreographer Tharp back in 2010? Yeah, that’s the kind of top-tier talent they bring through. The theater itself is super cool with its unique design and a big, beautiful proscenium that makes every show feel like a special event. In 2004, they brought the musical Rent there and it totally struck a chord with the millennial crowd, making nights unforgettable. Plus, the sound system in the mezzanine is pretty awesome, making sure every word and note hits just right. If you're bringing your furry friend along, just plan for pet care – the theater’s not quite pet-friendly, after all. And getting there is a breeze, especially if you’re coming from Plantation or nearby – just hop on Interstate 595. Whether you’re planning a romantic date night, a fun outing with friends, or celebrating a big occasion, the Au-Rene Theater has something for everyone. From front-row seats with Randy Rainbow to VIP sections with Miami City Ballet, your perfect night out is just a ticket away. And hey, don’t forget to check out the latest shows – this place always has something new and exciting to offer. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on June at the Au-Rene Theater.
